Description

3D Voronoi Studio is an add-in for Autodesk Inventor which enables you to effortlessly and quickly generate Voronoi designs in Autodesk Inventor with full control over Voronoi sites (Voronoi points).

Features

  • Fast generation of 3D Voronoi designs with even more than 1,000 Voronoi sites (Voronoi Points)
  • Interactive creation of Voronoi sites (Voronoi points) usign a list of 2D and 3D parametric distributors
  • 18 different 2D and 3D parametric distributior types
  • Previewing the output before executing the command
  • Conversion of each distributor to “Coordinates Distributor” to control Voronoi sites at point level
  • Interactive transformation of individual distributors
  • Creation of gap fillers between fragments with fixed or variable gap widths
  • Full control over automatic assignment of appearances to fragments and gap fillers
  • Exploding fragments
  • Duplication and linked duplication of distributors
  • Editing the created feature after creation
  • Saving and loading presets
  • Loading the last executed command preset or the last previewd command preset

Distributor Types

There are 18 different distributor types in 3D Voronoi Studio. By combining them through Distributors Tab you can control distribution of Voronoi sites (Voronoi Points)

Body Faces Curves
Points Linear Square
Rectangular Circular Elliptical
Polygonal Planar Grid
Radial Spiral Box
Cylindrical Spherical Coordinates

General Usage Instructions

  1. Select “3D Voronoi Studio” button from “SOLID” tab
  2. Select a body to fracture in “General” group or change the settings of the proxy box in “Proxy” group
  3. Create a list of distributors and change their settings using “Distributors” tab to create Voronoi sites (Voronoi points)
  4. Select the desired outputs (Fragments, Gap Fillers and Voronoi Sites) and change their settings using “Outputs” tab
  5. Select the desired appearances for fragments and gap fillers using “Appearances” tab
  6. Click on “Preview” button (eye button) or press “Space” key to preview the output
  7. Click on “Build” button to make the final fractured body (Unavailable in Trial Version)
